   Origin  :   Europe

   Habitus  
  The female is a small black ladybird with red-yellow legs. The male has a brown head and a partly brown pronotum. Their size is 1,8-2,3 mm. The larve are white waxy powdered. They look like small larve of Cryptolaemus or mealybugs.

   Biology  
  Scymnus rubromaculatus feeds on all kind of aphids, as Myzus and Aphis species. They are active at temperatures between 18 and 32°C.
Below 15 °C. they go in diapause. Their developmental time takes 4-5 weeks. They can lay up to 200 eggs.

   Use  
  SSL is especially efficient at higher temperatures. In glasshouses and buildings they can u.o. used against cotton aphids [Aphis gossypii]. Take care of a good ant-control! They are packed as adults in a transparant blister.
  The use of SSL can be combined with that of : AAG,AES,ABL,AMS,EXL,AVS
