   Habitus  
  Exochomus laeviusculus [synonym E. keiseri], is a shiny black ladybird, with a size of 3,0 - 4,5 mm. The front of head of the male is yellow. The head of the female is completely black. The larve is grey, with black spines on their back.

   Biology  
  E. leaviusculus lives in al kind of habitats in the tropical climates of Madgascar and La Reunion. It is a polyphageous predator and preys on a broad range of pests-organismes. It is an effective predator of aphids, like Aphis gossypii, but also eats mealybugs, (soft-) scales, planthoppers and even mites. Developmental-time from egg to adult is 4-5 weeks.

   Use  
  EXL can be introduced as adults or as larvae. It can be used by temperatures of 15 - 35 °C, with an optimum between 24 - 30 °C.
  The use of EXL can be combined with that of : AAG,AES,AMS,AXS
