| Chilocorus nigritus is a ladybird of about 4 mm. They are shiny black, with a brown head hidden under the shield. The larva is grey-yellow with black spines. |
| Biology |
| C. nigritus predates on all kinds of hard-scales. An adult can live for several months and lay up to 300 eggs. The developmental time is about 5 weeks. |
| Use |
| Chilocorus can be used as adults or larvae. They require a humidity of 60% or more and temperature of at least 20 °C. The introduction has to be done carefully by hanging the blister near the scales, because they easely fly away. |
