   Habitus  
  The adult is a black parasitoid with a size of 2-3 mmm.

   Biology  
  The female paratizes 1-2 egg-cases. After 5-6 weeks +/- 25 AHS emerge. After this you can see a very small hole in the eggcase. Adults live for 2-4 weeks. They are active by temperatures between 18-34 oC. The optimum temperature for developmen is 26 oC. There is a tolerance for humidity of 40-90%.

   Use  
  AHS is parasitising free eggcases of cockroaches like: Periplaneta australasiae (Australiën), P. american (American), P. brunnea (Brown), Eurocytus floridana (Florida). Look for sites with the highest numbers of cockroaches. Normally this are the warmer places. By placing glue-traps this sites can be determined. Sites used for hiding eggcases are: stone-walls, trunks (especially of palms), in cracks of wall- and roof-constructions. Introduce 20-40 parasitoids pro 100M2. Repeat introduction of AHS every month, with a minimum of 6 times a year. Look for parasitised egg-cases (empty eggcases with a needle sized hole). Don’t use insecticides with long persistence or broad working-spectrum! Combination with traps or bait-gel is possible.
